7 weeks

OK - symptoms have arrived. I am so tired all the time. I just have no energy, especially when I come home from work at night. Yes, there's the upset stomach--it is bad news. No food sounds good, but I am always hungry. Nothing seems to make the nautiousness subside either. I just wish I could lay in bed until the sick part passes. It's very hard to pretend that you feel fine at work and with friends when you feel like you're going to throw up any second. And, anyone that knows me knows that I am not a super emotional person, but I think I cried twice yesterday during different home improvement shows. Who am I?

Day 40: 1/7th of the way there

OK, we've only known for one week, but talk about hiding the biggest secret of your life! I think we've looked at calendars 20 times now to see when we can tell people.

I am technically on day 40. Nothing crazy weird happening yet, but I am sure that will change very soon. It's funny, when something like this happens you read every website to see what's happening, or what's about to happen to your body. Then, you almost start to play mind games with yourself-- "Do I feel sick?" "Am I more tired?" Whatever the thing is that you're supposed to be feeling, you over-focus on it. And for anyone that knows me well, they know that my brain must be in overdrive right now.

Poor Scott. I am gonna drive him crazy for the next 240 days or so...

Thursday, March 13

So, yesterday was Scott's birthday. I sort of got him a present one day late....

Talk about being surprised (the both of us!). I mean, we've been planning this for a while, but man, it's always still a surprise! I couldn't even form the words, I just dragged him in to the bathroom to look at the little sticks all lined up.
