As Lauren gets older and smarter, I've been focusing on teaching her how to count, her ABC's, and all the colors. Scott, on the other hand, has been focusing a bit more on "street smarts." Thanks, dad.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! Lauren, Scott & I took a trip to visit Lauren's grandparents in Florida for the long weekend. Lauren's been on a plane now more than 10 times, but this flight was a big one--she got her very own seat. She loved going through the seat back-pocket and reading all the literature, and loved putting her tray table down so that she could line up her toys. It was, by far, the most painless flight with her yet.

In Florida, she got in some quality time with her cousins from Virginia. Our little beach bum just loved playing in the sand and in the waves. Fearless as always, she ran towards the waves and in to the water, and let daddy dunk her under. And, while on the beach, she loved building sandcastles and digging in the sand. I see lots of beach vacations in Miss Lauren's future!
