Happy Halloween!

Kinda funny, and kinda silly, Lauren was a piece of salmon sushi for Halloween! She was dressed in all white to represent the white rice, an orange pillow with white stripes on her back as the "salmon," and a green ribbon representing the seaweed wrap attaching the salmon to her body. There's a funny picture below of Scott pretending to eat Lauren with giant chopsticks. We went to a little baby costume party today and had a lot of fun. Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Beagles are getting chunkier!

Ever since Lauren has started feeding herself, our beagles have gotten noticeably chunkier. About 50% of her food makes it to her mouth, 25% lands in her chair, and 25% just goes straight to the floor to be gobbled up by two chow hounds!

It's pumpkin time!

We've been trying to make it out to a pumpkin patch, and finally found just a few minutes today to impulsively buzz over to a local church to snag a few pictures. Lauren had a lot of fun with the pumpkins! She was crawling all over the place and seemed to want to taste all of the pumpkins? Such a goofball. Here's a few fun pictures.

We're back!

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while. My grandpa passed away, and Lauren and I have been out of town for the past week traveling for the funeral and visiting with family. The little booger has been in the car for over 1500 miles in the past 6 days. Whew. Funerals and death are very sad, but they are an opportunity to spend time with family and to tell stories from the past. Lauren got some good quality time with her grandma, aunts, and cousin Katelyn (pictured below!).

11 month update

11 months old. Know what that means? In one short month our little munchkin will be a year old---eek! Here's some things that Miss Lo has been up to:

- She loves sharing. If she has something in her hands, she wants to give it to you. She'll even take her pacifier out of her mouth and give it to you (but she wants it right back--haha).
- She knows who Willie, Sydney, mom and dad are and if you tell her to give something to one of them, she will do it!
- I've never seen a baby crawl up stairs faster in my life. She crawls so fast it's the equivalent of me running up them.
- She loves clapping and saying "yahahhhhhh!"
- We have a little tomboy in the making. She climbs over everything, lunges to the floor, throws balls, bangs things around....there's nothing lady-like about our little gal. And, when she falls and hits her head she laughs instead of cries! Such a goofball.

Talking all the time

Lauren has a few words figured out now...mama, dada, baba, and a few others. But, she LOVES to talk. Here she is telling me a story. It went somethings like this: ababa madame ajsdfkha ajskdj wmananagh ajaskwj managbabamana...
