Happy Thanksgiving!

We just got back from a great Thanksgiving trip to Florida, and Lauren had a blast! She got to hang out with grandma and grandpa and a ton of aunts, uncles and cousins. She loved turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving, and just had so much fun playing with everyone. We even squeezed in a trip to the zoo and she got to feed birds, a giraffe, and taste her very first ice cream! Such a fun trip.

Concert Debut

Lauren's Aunt Mindy got her a piano for her birthday. As you can see, she's gotten quite good.

We are so lucky to have such a great network of mommies and babies here in Austin. Today we were able to meet most of Lauren's little friends in the park for a picnic. Check out all these future trouble-makers!

Stats from my first year

I took Lauren to the pediatrician for her 12 month well-check appointment. The doc said she was right on track with her development, and said that since Lauren is already saying quite a few words (mom, dad, bottle, ball, done, hi, etc.), that she's a bit ahead on vocabulary! We also got her height/weight measurements. Here's how the little one has tracked this year:

12 months: 24 lbs, & 29.5" in length

9 months: 21lbs 10oz, & 28.25" in length

6 months: 19lbs 13oz, & 26.5" in length

4 months: 17lbs, & 24.75" in length

2 months: 12lbs 15 oz, & 22.25" in length

1 month: 8lbs 13oz, & 21" in length

2 weeks: 7lbs 4oz, & 20.25" in length

Birth: 6lbs 15oz, and 19.5" in length

Family time at the park

It's still beautiful here in Austin, so we had another little family outing to the park today. Here's some fun park pictures. Lauren really is loving the slide--she's going down all by herself! Such a big girl.

I love Austin in the fall

The weather has been just beautiful lately. Every day it has been sunny and in the mid-70's. Lauren and I have been taking advantage of it and going to different parks to have picnics and to play on the playground. She's still a bit young for most playgrounds, but she likes the bucket swings and going down the slide a lot! Other than that, she just loves crawling around in the grass. Birthday success!

What a fun few days! Thursday birthday with momma and dadda, Friday birthday with aunt Mindy, Friday night birthday with Brewers, Saturday birthday with grandma, and Sunday birthday party with all my friends. Here's a fun video from my birthday party!

One year old!

Wow. Miss Lauren Avery Brewer is one. How did this happen? My little baby is becoming the beautiful little girl right before my very eyes. I have been lucky enough to spend almost every single moment of Lauren's life with her this past year, watch her hit all these amazing milestones, and become this silly, happy little girl. Happy Birthday, baby girl.
