Moving!

As most of you know, we just moved! We're still within Austin, but we moved to a bigger place for Lauren and the dogs. We've spent the past week closing on the old house and closing on the new house, packing, moving, and unpacking. There's still so much to do.

As cute as she is, Lauren is real good at putting things back in boxes after you take them out, and taking things out of cabinets just after you've organized them. Oye. With this kind of "help" it will take me twice as long! Ha. Here's a video of Lauren finding the fun in all the madness:

Like most little kiddos her age, Lauren loves animals. You can show her a picture full of animals and she can point to each one correctly when you ask her where a particular animal is. She has also learned how to say most of their names, and knows a lot of the sounds they make. Here she is (although put a little on the spot and shy at first) reciting some animal sounds....

Easter egg hunt!

Easter was lots of fun this year! We started the day by giving Lauren a big Easter basket full of fun goodies like books, bubbles, and stuffed animals. Then we ate a yummy lunch and dyed some eggs. After that Lauren went on a little egg hunt in the front yard and was a PRO at picking up the eggs! She totally caught on to what to do and ran from one to the next collecting them in her little basket. Here's a few fun pictures from the egg hunt. Happy Easter!

It is a tradition in Texas for people to take their kiddos to get their pictures taking in Bluebonnets each spring (it's the state flower). Bluebonnets pop up alongside the highways and various other grassy areas with other wildflowers for about a month or so each year. Here are a few pictures of Lauren playing in the flowers in her Easter dress. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!
