Cruisin'

Lauren loves to play on her ride-on toys. She and her daddy have quite the little game going--check out the videos (and, yes...they go super fast!!!!):

What's Lauren up to these days?

- Lauren is learning how to eat with a spoon and a fork, and is starting to drink out of a regular cup some (with no lid or straw)
- She has mastered walking, and now would like to run!
- Her vocabulary is getting really good, and she tries to repeat most of what you say to her. Current favorite words to say are: bottle, tree, bye-bye, hi, willie, ball, da-da, and shoe.
- Play time is much more active now. She is getting pretty good at puzzles, likes to ride on her ride-on toys, and will play with her Little People for hours. She also really likes to feed her babies a bottle.
- Lauren sleeps like a champ. She takes at least a 2 hour nap each day, and sleeps 13 1/2 hours each night (6pm - 7:30am)
- She's not a picky eater at all (although, I think she just thinks her momma is a great cook!). She'll eat anything that I prepare for her.

- She loves saying hi to everyone when we go to the store

These boots are made for walkin'

When Lauren was a few months old, I just HAD to buy her a pair of pink cowboy boots. The boots have sat on a shelf in her room for almost a year now, and I figured since Lauren has become quite the walker, it might be time to see if she could do some two-stepping. The boots are still a little big, but it was funny seeing her try and walk in them!

Aquarium

Over New Year's we were in Dallas to celebrate Christmas with my family. While we were there, we took a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium. It's such an awesome place - part zoo, part aquarium. Lauren absolutely loved it. As you can see from just a couple of pics, she was so busy looking around, pointing, and squealing at animals, she didn't want to pose for the camera!
