Trick r' Treat!

Lauren's first Trick r' Treating experience was tonight and it was ridiculously cute. My mom, my sister, Lauren and I all dressed up as bees (a swarm of bees!) and went through our new neighborhood. Lauren LOVED it. She would point at each house and say Trick r' Treat as we approached it. And, every time we left a house, she would say, "BYE BYE CANDY!" really loudly to the candy bowl that the neighbors were holding. Crack me up!

It's pumpkin patch time!

From sitting on haystacks and taking hay rides, to running through corn mazes and feeding goats, Lauren had a great time playing with her cousin Katelyn at the pumpkin patch farm today!

I'm almost two. Proof.

Temper tantrum. Full on temper tantrum. Feet kicking. Fake crying. Throwing herself on the floor. Is someone practicing being two? Clearly so. I'm just trying not to laugh!

Austin City Limits Music Festival

This weekend is the ever anticipated Austin City Limits Music Festival (http://www.aclfestival.com/). Three days of music and fun at a huge outdoor park. Over 100,000 people attend the festival on each of the three days. Scott and I decided to bring Lauren with us yesterday to the first day. We loaded up the wagon with sunscreen, water, blankets and headed off!

Lauren had a blast people-watching, eating festival food, dancing to music, and running around. She hung out for about 6 hours before we called it a day. We're taking a breather today, and then back tomorrow!

(For those of you who noticed, yes, Lauren had a mid-day wardrobe change. ACL is a messy place for a toddler!)

I wanna surf!

Last weekend, we met our friends The Berryhills and their two little girls out at the lake so that the dads could go stand up paddle boarding on the lake. Stand up paddle boarding is essentially a combination of canoeing and surfing. The boards are like surfboards, and you stand on them and propel yourself through flat water holding a paddle. After the dads were done paddle boarding, the girls got a kick out of sitting on the boards in the grass. It was pretty darn cute.
