First bath

Here's a few pictures of Merritt's first bath. Of course, Lauren wanted in on the action and was a big help is washing her baby sister for the first time. She looks so tiny! Merritt really liked the bath and I love that Lauren is so interested in wanting to be a part of everything with the new baby! Hooray sisters.

Welcome Merritt Paige Brewer!

Little Merritt Paige, our life's biggest miracle and surprise, was welcomed in to the world on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 6:00am. She weighed 5lbs, 10oz, and was 18.5" long. Lauren instantly jumped in to professional big sister mode. It really is amazing how the heart makes room for another.

Anticipating the birth of her new baby sister

Lauren asked me 1,997,345,897,654 questions about the baby before she was born. What would her favorite food be? What would her favorite color be? She was so excited to hear that the new baby would sit in the back seat of my car with her and INSISTED that the baby would sleep in her bed with her too. I can't wait to see the trouble that these two cause when they get older!

Here's a few photos of baby girl #2 growing in my belly! She was easy to conceal for the first several months, and then there was no hiding this belly towards the end. Lauren loved watching her grow from the outside, and especially loved when my belly button popped out. She loved telling people that her sister pushed my belly button out from the inside, and then proceeded to laugh about it every time.
