Nothing fits me anymore!
So, as I am almost 4 months along now, nothing in my closet fits me any longer. I have officially shifted in to 100% maternity wear. I have my staples: 2 sundresses, 2 pairs of jeans, a few shirts, a pair of dress pants. But, man..looking in to your closet and saying "I have nothing to wear" really has new meaning when literally nothing fits. I finally had to take all my old clothes, pile them in to storage bins, and have Scott drag them out to the garage so that I didn't drive myself nuts looking in my closet every morning! Ha.

Scary Day
Two days ago Scott and I got rear-ended in downtown Austin. We had no obvious injuries, but were both really rattled and pretty upset because we were hit hard. I had some immediate abdomen and back pain from the seat belt because we were thrown forward so roughly, so we went straight to the emergency room to make sure that everything was OK with mom and baby. After being at the hospital for many hours, we got to hear the baby's heartbeat and check all the important vitals. The doctor said that I had some bruising and would be pretty sore in the coming days, but that everything looked to be ok. I just had to keep an eye on things and follow-up with my OBGYN yesterday to do a full sonogram, etc. That appointment checked out too, so we were very relieved. We're all doing fine now (just trying to rest because of soreness), but definitely got a wake-up call that anything can happen at any time. It was a very scary day, but I suppose it was just life's way of preparing us for the number of various accidents and scary things that parenting can bring!

Tests look good!
So, we just got my test results back from our last sonogram. They do all this measuring of the baby, took blood from me, etc. to see if there is any early detection of any kind of developmental abnormalities (i.e. down syndrome, etc.). Well, all test results came back good! That's a relief. Nothing is guaranteed at this point, but it's always reassuring to hear that everything is looking healthy and good.
As a side, a friend from work got me that book by Jenny McCarthy called, "Belly Laughs" yesterday. I read the whole thing last night--cover to cover. It cracked me up! It is nice to know that all the crazy things you go through when you are pregnant are totally normal.

Yay! Everyone knows!
Finally everyone knows. Family, work, friends....what a relief! It's been fun telling people. And, we now have more name suggestions than we know what to do with. Funny how so many people think that we should name it after them....haha.
